Direct Job Responsibilities
1、Create and maintain product documentation, including drawings, models, specifications
2、Design load-bearing structures and welded frames for industrial robotic cells and automation equipment
3、Develop fixtures, positioners, and workholding solutions for medium-to-large scale mechanical assemblies
4、Lead and organize design processes for implementation of advanced 3D CAD methods
5、Identify complex technical problems and propose solutions to eliminate the root cause
6、Cooperate with production and supply chain to ensure the successful transfer of designs to production
7、Search for new suppliers, communicate with them regarding R&D demands for new and current BoM, etc.
Competency and Quality Requirements
1、Proficiency in 3D CAD software from the list: Siemens NX, Solidworks, Autodesk Fusion/Inventor or similar
2、Taking initiatives – new ideas or improvements in product or processes are welcome
3、Ability to make and follow plans for design, testing, and implementation of concepts
4、Communication skills, including the ability to communicate with both English-speaking foreign and local Chinese-speaking team members
5、Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team (within reasonable limits)
Other Preferred Requirements
1、Experience and understanding of additive technologies for polymers/composite materials
2、Work experience or understanding of the principles of operation of mechanical CNC systems
3、Similar projects in described areas will be an advantage:
● Welded structures, fabricated steel assemblies, heavy load-bearing frames
● Robotic work-cell tooling, automation positioners, end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) mounting, robot-mounted fixtures
● Forming tools, holding fixtures, assembly jigs, custom mandrels
● Machine base design, structural chassis, framework for automated systems (from 1m to 10m size)
